AlabanosTaxi Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how IATRT (owner/operator of the AlabanosTaxi app) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when drivers use the AlabanosTaxi Android app.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the AlabanosTaxi driver/tablet app and related backend API services at https://alabanostaxi.com.

2. Intended Users and Authorization

AlabanosTaxi is not a general public consumer app. It is a restricted operational tool for authorized taxi drivers and approved taxi operator personnel only.

Use of this app requires:

• Prior authorization/pre-approval by IATRT and/or the relevant taxi operator.
• A valid, provisioned user account.
• Signed consent/contractual onboarding documents required by your operator or IATRT.

If you are not an authorized and pre-approved user, do not install, access, or use this app.

3. Information We Collect

• Login and account data: taxi number, username, password (for authentication), OTP code, and authentication tokens.
• Device and technical data: app-generated device ID, device model, app version, and basic connection status.
• Precise location data: GPS coordinates, timestamps, and related telemetry. Location is sent periodically while the app is online. By design, taxi telemetry may continue after driver logout where a taxi context is still present.
• Job and trip data: assigned jobs, passenger/job references, pickup/dropoff addresses and coordinates, trip status updates, completion details, and fare-related data entered or generated in operational use.
• SMS OTP assist: if SMS permission is granted, the app can read incoming SMS messages to detect a one-time login code and auto-fill/auto-verify it. The app is intended to use only OTP content relevant to login.

4. How We Use Information

• Authenticate drivers and manage secure sessions.
• Dispatch, track, and complete taxi jobs.
• Provide live taxi telemetry and operational visibility.
• Support billing/invoicing and service administration.
• Improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and prevent misuse.

5. Permissions Used by the App

• Location (precise/coarse): job navigation and telemetry.
• SMS receive: optional OTP auto-detection for login convenience.
• Bluetooth: optional taxi hardware/meter connectivity where configured.
• Network/Wi-Fi/Internet: API communication and synchronization.
• Boot completed: restart app services after device reboot/update.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share data with:

• Service infrastructure providers that host or support AlabanosTaxi systems.
• Authorized dispatch/admin users who manage taxi operations.
• Authorities or regulators where required by law.

We do not sell personal information for third-party advertising.

7. Data Retention

We retain operational and account data only as long as needed for service delivery, safety, legal compliance, dispute handling, and accounting requirements. Retention duration may vary by data type and legal obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices and Rights

• You can deny app permissions, but some features may not function.
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of relevant personal data, subject to legal limits.

10. Children

This app is intended for taxi operations and is not directed to children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
